Organizational Affiliation: Reports to the Vice Presidency for Development and Community Partnership.
General Objective: Ensure the quality and effectiveness of university education by developing faculty competencies and strengthening students’ professional capabilities across relevant domains, and by securing programmatic and institutional accreditation.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare the deanship’s operational plans and oversee their implementation after approval.
- Provide administrative and technical supervision of affiliated units and ensure coordination and integration of their activities.
- Develop the annual plan for professional development of faculty members in coordination with the Deanship of Professional Development.
- Oversee implementation of the university’s academic and program accreditation policies.
- Propose plans, projects, and regulatory procedures necessary to meet quality assurance standards and implement them.
- Design, develop, and review quality assurance and continuous improvement programs across university activities.
- Develop systems to measure service quality, performance efficiency, and effectiveness in coordination with the Institutional Effectiveness Center.
- Follow up on quality program and project teams and provide technical and advisory support.
- Represent the university in communication with local and international accreditation bodies.
- Monitor academic program evaluations and ensure compliance with quality standards, and coordinate continuous improvement efforts.
- Propose nomination plans for university excellence awards in coordination with the Institutional Effectiveness Center.
- Enhance faculty knowledge, skills, and professional readiness.
- Develop students’ professional competencies and support their preparation for professional certifications.
- Organize and conduct meetings, seminars, and conferences related to quality assurance and higher education development.
- Plan and coordinate tasks required to meet quality related requirements across university activities.
- Promote quality awareness through meetings, workshops, and specialized events.
- Contribute to defining, reviewing, and improving performance indicators related to the deanship’s activities.
- Identify resource needs and follow up on their provision.
- Determine staff training needs and nominate them for appropriate programs.
- Prepare periodic reports on activities, achievements, and improvement proposals.
- Perform any other duties assigned within its scope of authority.
