Organizational Affiliation: Reports to the Vice Presidency for Development and Community Partnership.
General Objective: Provide integrated services for continuous professional development of faculty members, lecturers, and teaching assistants in teaching technologies, learning, research, and community service, while enhancing students’ professional competencies to achieve high standards of performance and excellence.
Tasks:
- Prepare the deanship’s operational plans and oversee their implementation after approval.
- Provide administrative and technical supervision of affiliated units and ensure coordination and integration of their activities.
- Contribute to developing future strategies to enhance faculty skills and support excellence in teaching and learning.
- Oversee faculty participation in external courses, workshops, and conferences.
- Supervise the development of faculty knowledge, skills, and professional readiness.
- Oversee the organization of professional development programs and applied workshops for senior university leadership.
- Supervise the development of students’ professional competencies in coordination with relevant units.
- Supervise the development of staff competencies in coordination with relevant units.
- Define, review, and continuously improve performance indicators related to the deanship’s activities after approval.
- Identify the Deanships Human Resource needs and follow up on their provision.
- Determine staff training needs and nominate them for appropriate programs.
- Prepare periodic reports on activities, achievements, and improvement proposals.
- Perform any other duties assigned within its scope of authority.
