Organizational Affiliation: Reports to the Vice Presidency for Development and Community Partnership.
General Objective: Provide an advanced interactive e learning environment and deliver high quality e learning and distance education programs in line with recognized best practices.
Responsibilities :
- Prepare the deanship’s operational plans and oversee their implementation after approval.
- Provide administrative and technical supervision of the deanship’s organizational units and coordinate their activities to ensure integration and effective use of available resources.
- Manage and develop e-learning and distance education operations and systems at the university.
- Oversee the development of digital course content and its conversion into interactive online courses.
- Supervise the design, delivery, and management of fee-based e-learning and distance programs in emerging and future-oriented fields, in coordination with relevant colleges.
- Provide continuous training for faculty members and students to maximize the use of modern e-learning tools and technologies, in coordination with the Deanship of Professional Development and the Deanship of Student Affairs and Alumni.
- Ensure continuous quality improvement in e-learning and distance education in alignment with recognized international standards.
- Coordinate with relevant internal and external entities in the field of e-learning and distance education to exchange expertise and align efforts.
- Provide support services to faculty and students in the use of e-learning and distance education systems and tools.
- Ensure compliance with quality assurance standards and performance indicators in accordance with recognized international practices.
- Coordinate with the National eLearning Center to support the objectives of e-learning and distance education.
- Define, review, and continuously improve performance indicators related to the deanship’s activities after approval.
- Identify the deanship’s needs for human resources, equipment, and materials, and follow up on their provision.
- Determine training needs of the deanship’s staff and nominate them for appropriate programs.
- Prepare periodic reports on the deanship’s activities, achievements, and development proposals.
- Perform any other duties assigned within its scope of responsibility.
