General Objective: Contribute to community service and development by delivering high-quality applied and professional programs aligned with community and labor market needs.
Tasks:
- Prepare the deanship’s operational plans and oversee their implementation after approval.
- Provide administrative and technical supervision of affiliated units and ensure coordination and integration of their activities.
- Propose general objectives and policies for community service activities at the university.
- Promote access to continuing education for all segments of the local community.
- Identify community needs institutions and individuals and address them through relevant programs.
Promote learning and intellectual development through high quality educational and professional programs aligned with labor market demands.. - Coordinate with university colleges to develop and implement community oriented programs.
- Oversee the design of applied and professional educational and training programs based on actual community needs.
- Promote scientific, cultural, and social awareness and encourage utilization of university services in applied research and community-related studies.
- Design training programs based on actual training needs across different community groups.
- Ensure quality standards and performance indicators in community service and continuing education in line with recognized best practices.
- Continuously improve training programs based on feedback from target groups.
- Strengthen collaboration with public and private sector entities to implement training and community initiatives..
- Oversee volunteer activities involving the university.
- Support institutional development of volunteer work in the region.
- Assist external sectors in improving performance through tailored educational and training programs..
- Contribute to the university’s financial sustainability by enhancing revenue through applied academic and professional programs aligned with labor market needs.
- Define, review, and continuously improve performance indicators related to the deanship’s activities after approval..
- Identify resource needs and follow up on their provision.
- Determine staff training needs and nominate them for appropriate programs..
- Prepare periodic reports on activities, achievements, and improvement proposals.
- Perform any other duties assigned within its scope of authority.
