Organizational Affiliation: Linked to the University's vice presidency for development and Community Partnership.

The general objective: is to elevate the university's performance levels by adopting institutional excellence methodologies and implementing the best practices to strengthen it. The initiative seeks to spread awareness about these practices throughout the university and facilitate developing and updating manuals, organizational structures, policy manuals, procedures, models, and job descriptions across all units.

Missions:

  • Preparing the unit's activity plans and following up on their implementation after approval.
  • Promoting a culture of institutional excellence at the university
  • Conducting workshops and meetings with the institutional effectiveness Center to enhance institutional excellence.
  • Collecting and analyzing information on the progress of activities and processes in various organizational units at the University for improvement.
  • Conducting and preparing reference comparison reports with distinguished national and international best practices in institutional excellence in university education.
  • Developing and updating the organizational structure and manual based on the strategic direction of the University.
  • Supporting all organizational units at the university to develop and update policy manuals, powers, procedures, job descriptions and forms in coordination with the relevant organizational units to achieve the requirements of institutional excellence.
  • Participate in constructing Key Performance Indicators at the University in coordination with the General Department of strategic planning and vision achievement and the institutional effectiveness Center.
  • Reviewing and evaluating the efficiency of various processes and procedures at the university to ensure their compatibility, integration and differentiation and submitting proposals for improvement.
  • Forming institutional excellence teams, defining their tasks, and submitting drafts of their formation decisions to the vice chancellor for Community Development and partnership.
  • Nominating the university to win Institutional Excellence Awards from excellence bodies at the national and international levels, in coordination with the relevant organizational units.
  • 12. Supporting university staff in winning awards related to institutional excellence
  • Studying and expressing opinions on all matters related to the Excellence Awards referred to the unit.
  • Conducting courses and workshops related to organizational development and excellence in university education
  • Participating in identifying and developing performance measurement indicators for all unit activities
  • Identifying human resource, equipment, and material needs and following up on their provision
  • Identifying training needs for employees and nominating them for appropriate programs
  • Preparing periodic reports on the unit's activities, achievements, and proposals for performance development
  • Performing any other tasks assigned within the unit's competence
