  • The Community Partnership Development Department focuses on establishing agreements and developing partnerships with local community institutions and universities to encourage the exchange of experiences.

Vision: achieving leadership for northern borders university through partnerships to strengthen its position.

Mission: to strengthen the role of the University in achieving a strong community partnership and working to meet the community’s needs.

Objectives:

  • Improving the connection between the university and the surrounding community.
  •  Enhancing communication among different colleges to facilitate community service initiatives.
  • Attracting strategic institutions and companies aligned with the university's objectives.
  • Supporting faculty members in scientific research efforts through community outreach programs.
  • Promoting scientific knowledge in the local community by providing courses and workshops.

Director’s Statement:

Since its establishment, the Community Partnership Department has been dedicated to achieving the aspirations of the University and the community in a way that meets the aspirations of the beneficiaries, students, faculty members and the local community and to building an interactive relationship that provides opportunities for partnership and integration with everyone. This commitment is evidenced by the department's establishment of many important partnerships that align with its objectives of promoting the university's growth and serving the community’s needs.

Regulations and procedures:

Building a database to support and achieve the goals of a community partnership between different community institutions.

Partnership working procedures/agreement:

  •  Submitting to the president of the University for approval
  • In case of His Excellency's approval, it is sent to the legal affairs and then to the Community Partnership Department to complete the procedures

General objective:

The goal is to create strong partnerships with the government, private, and social work sectors by executing high-quality projects and initiatives involving all university departments. These programs are tailored towards fostering community collaborations and partnerships.

Tasks:

  • Preparing the Department's activity plans and following up on their implementation after approval.
  • Spreading and strengthening the culture of social responsibility in the university community in particular and civil society in general.
  • Contributing to implementing investment partnerships with local partners that support the University's capabilities in performing its activities and providing its services.
  • Enhancing the university's existing community partnerships and improving their outcomes.
  • Designing free or fee-based training and education programs for different categories of society.
  • Cooperation with the private sector and other relevant sectors to spread the concept of Social Responsibility, which contributes to implementing projects based on community service.
  • Identifying opportunities for cooperation between the university and local community institutions in community partnership.
  • Compiling a database of present and future partners to achieve the department's objectives and promote partnership among community institutions.
  • Engaging university employees in social responsibility events and programs inside and outside the university.
  • Coordinating with relevant faculties and organizational units to utilize the department's capabilities and services to achieve community service goals.
  • Planning and organizing volunteer work and creating an integrated data platform on responsibility and community service programs.
  • Proposing community service activities and actively motivating university employees to participate in them.
  • Preparing a guide for community initiatives at both individual and institutional levels in collaboration with the Vision and Initiatives Realization Office.
  • Evaluating the outcomes of partnerships between the university and the community and providing feedback on their development, continuation, or discontinuation.
  • Participating in identifying the department's human resource, equipment, and material needs and ensuring availability.
  • Participate in determining the Department's human resources, equipment and materials needs and follow up on their provision.
  • Participating in identifying the department's employee training requirements and nominating them for appropriate training programs.
  • Preparing regular reports on the department's activities, accomplishments, and suggestions for enhancing performance.
  • Any other tasks assigned to it within the limits of competence.
